Not sure about CrossFit? Try it before you make your decision. We know you will be hooked after one class. We hold our Free Trial Classes every Wednesday night at 6:30pm and every Saturday morning at 10am. We only ask that you sign up prior to attending so that we can accommodate you. Please arrive about 10 minutes before the class. All you need to bring is conventional gym attire (athletic shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt). We have plenty of water, but make sure you properly hydrate before coming to class.
Every new CrossFitter begins in our Fundamentals course. It’s a mandatory 6-session program that introduces athletes to the basic elements of CrossFit training. That includes coaching, nutrition for fitness, functional movements, and WODs.
FitWOD has the same principles as a regular CrossFit class (constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement) except we will focus more on Metabolic Conditioning (Met Con) with scaled down weights or body weight movements. *This is for Experienced CrossFitters only, please!
Also known as WOD, this is the bread and butter of CrossFit. Its objective is to ensure athletes are physically prepared for any task thrown their way. You’ll lift weights, run, jump, push and pull your own bodies long and fast. With this program, we change the exercise combinations so that your body is constantly adapting and improving. Over time, regular attendance will increase an athlete’s fitness level across the board.
Our Olympic weightlifting classes aim to improve the classic Olympic lifts. Our programming follows set cycles ranging from the introductory level to more advanced cycles prepping you for WODs or competition. This course is taught by World Class Trainer, Ryan Erasmus, who’s an active member of the CrossFit Hoboken Olympic lifting team in Regional competitions. It’s a great training option whether you’re looking to improve your technique and strength or want to pursue Olympic weightlifting as a sport.
While many of our CrossFit classes incorporate strength training and cycles, this course is designed to help you see quick gains through essential lifts (e.g. deadlifts, squats, and presses). We highly recommend this for new athletes to supplement Workout of the Day classes to discover rep maxes and develop strength.
Who says adults get to have all the fun? CrossFit Kids teaches children the principles of mechanics, consistency, and intensity in working out. Establishing good movements and fitness through childhood and adolescence is our goal. CrossFit Kids provides children with physical literacy, enhanced sports performance, and fewer sports injuries. Also, scientific research proves that exercise benefits cognitive function. So your little athlete will do better on the field and in the classroom.
Open gym is a fantastic resource and a chance to really hone your skills! Open gym enables athletes do their own thing as well as catch up on missed WODs. A certified L-1 coach is always on site during that time to ensure the safety of everyone in the gym.
Recover both mentally and physically with our 1 hour power flow yoga! Our coaches work closely with several CrossFit affiliates to develop athlete’s understanding of the art of movement. Focal points include hips, internal/external rotation, hyperextension, the pelvic girdle, core stability, breath work, and more.
