HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT CROSSFIT?
My girlfriend recommended that I join CrossFit. I attended a free trial session at CrossFit Hoboken and it kicked my butt; I never sweated so much from a single workout before and I was hooked.
WHAT WERE YOUR GOALS WHEN YOU STARTED CROSSFIT?
After graduating college and working several years in corporate America, I had an unhealthy lifestyle of ordering pizza at 3AM, never exercising, and gained a beer belly. My original goal of joining CrossFit was to lose a few pounds.
WHAT TYPE OF RESULTS HAVE YOU SEEN WITH CROSSFIT?
I lost 40 pounds in 3 months by regularly attending CrossFit and dieting. I also feel much more energetic and confident.
HOW HAS CROSSFIT DIFFERED FROM YOUR FORMER TRAINING?
Prior to joining CrossFit, I didn’t know the difference between a dumbbell and a barbell. My prior experience included running on a treadmill a few times in college; that’s about it. The CrossFit coaches were extremely helpful and supportive by taking the time to teach me each exercise and how to scale so that I could exercise safely.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE AT CROSSFIT HOBOKEN?
I absolutely would recommend CrossFit Hoboken to anyone who’s serious about losing weight and/or increasing their overall fitness. The workouts are high-intensity and constantly varied. CrossFit is by-far the toughest thing I have ever done, but if you stick with it you will see the results that you’re looking for.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH IN THE NEXT YEAR IN YOUR OWN FITNESS?
My goal is to continue to frequently attend CrossFit classes and add weight to the barbell.
